Will it ever end?

Atlanta is now investgating whether baggy pants that reveal boxer shorts or thongs could be considered indecent under a proposed amendment. The amendment, sponsored by city councilman C.T. Martin, states that sagging pants are an “epidemic” that is becoming a “major concern” around the country.

“Little children see it and want to adopt it, thinking it’s the in thing,” Martin said Wednesday. “I don’t want young people thinking that half-dressing is the way to go. I want them to think about their future.”

With one of the highest murder rates in the nation, doesn’t Atlanta have more vital problems on its plate?

  1. Could it be possible that the murder rate in Atlanta and baggy pants are truly linked? It’s impossible to run with your pants around your thighs, so would-be victims can’t run away from murderers fast enough and, ultimately, end up dead.

C.T. Martin may be on to something here… although I doubt it. I can’t recall the last time any politician was truly on to something, actually.
